Replacement of Street Awning - Manly

An inspection of an awning in manly identified significant structural issues with both the connectivity of the awning stays to the building and the awning frame suspended below the stays. The awning was removed under controlled demolition which required traffic and pedestrian management in order to safely remove the asbestos lining.
MJ Civil arranged through a tender process for the removal and reconstruction of a structurally compliant awning together with the required building strengthening at the stay connections, which was also designed, specified and supervised by MJ Civil.
